New DLC for BioShock 2 from Aug 31
More actions coming for Big Daddy in BioShock 2 this month end. 2K announced recently the new downloadable content pack for the game that is dubbed as Minerva’s Den. The DLC is scheduled to be released on August 31.
It will cost $10 for the PlayStation 3 owners. For the Xbox 360 gamers it can be grabbed for 800 Microsoft points.
There will be three new unexplored areas in Minerva’s Den for single player campaign. Moreover, gamers need not to complete the BioShock 2 narrative to access this.
The new areas will have 6 new Little Sisters and the gamers have to protect these sisters abreast of harvesting. Then, gamers need to rescue the sisters or drain ADAM out of them.
Those who bought the earlier DLC Protector’s Trial can now play around with a Master Tonic that is picked up from any of the Gatherer’s Garden. This will in return increase the harvest time and it will also increase the amount of ADAM that the Little Sisters get.
When the Pc owners will get this DLC is not yet known.

Fans review upon BioShock 2
Let us see what gamers are saying about BioShock2. One of the gamers said that the inclusion of the drill in the game is a kindly switch from the wrench. Though there is a great mix of plasmids and weapons in BioShock 2, but the drill is in fact irresistible in giving splicers a real battering up close and personal.

It is also learned from the gamers that the “one-two punch” from the original BioShock has been supercharged with the Electro Bolt and the Drill Dash combo.
Some say that the relationship between Big Daddies and Little Sisters is a morbidly thrilling aspect of the game. In this new game of the series, the protecting (or harvesting) of the Little Sisters was better developed than the original BioShock.
One another fan of BioShock 2 said that the game is simply perfect. He says that Garry Schyman has done a great job of following on from his efforts in the original BioShock. He adds further that the music of the game manages to possess the same themes and leitmotifs of the original and it still is able to create its own unique sound.

The challenges of BioShock2
Recently the MI6 game marketing conference was held in San Francisco. The executives from the 2K Games’ marketing team was also presented in the conference. The made a small presentation upon the plan to sell BioShock 2.
Tom Bass, the marketing director, and Matt Gorman, the marketing VP, had given the presentation. They started it with a frank admission. Gorman said that the fans were not looking forward to BioShock 2, but “they held it as a very special experience, and a lot of the focus test research we did afterward, people said they didn’t want any more BioShock.”
The team also identified 3 groups who they wanted to market the game. Those are, the fans of the original, hardcore gamers who skipped it, and also the casual console gamers who might wait for the God of War III or the Mass Effect 2 instead of buying BioShock 2.
Gorman said, “The first thing that came to our mind was, everything we did with BioShock we had to throw away” when it came to the marketing plan.”
He added further, “We didn’t even open the marketing plan,” said Bass. The plan for BioShock 2 was to “focus on the newness, focus on the Big Sister.” The problem was that after the initial push, gamers said, “That’s great. What’s next?”
